Location
LawnEvery garden, large or small, will benefit from good planning and design. Design satisfaction relies on being sympathetic with the location and environment. If you are in a town house you will be influenced by the privacy of your space. Soil water and light will affect your planting choices. A long narrow plot needs to be developed differently to a square plot. Our garden designers have a wealth of experience in balancing these issues. We will survey every aspect of your garden space and offer sound advice to enhance and develop your plans.
Choosing a style
Bench

Functionality, paths, changes of level, seating areas, access points and storage facilities should all be considered when choosing a style. Elements should also be creatively chosen to adapt over the life of a garden. For example a child’s sand pit could become a pond when safety stops being an issue. If you have a style in mind we can lend our experience to enhance your vision of your perfect garden, or we can offer intelligent creative suggestions to help guide your way. Please see our Garden Styles pages for inspiration.

Creating the design

Choosing a style
PergolaWe believe that the extra elements that make up your garden should be just as well thought out as the design. Well organised electricity, irrigation and water supply will make it easy to enjoy looking after your garden. We can help to ensure that sheds, compost bins, summer houses are chosen and designed to blend into your overall style. Again, with regard to pergolas, arches and tunnels we are also able to harmonise with your garden style and local environment.
Creating the design

Plant Close UpWhen overlaying a planting plan over a garden design we will plan for optimisation over a period of time. We will help develop a planting list you have chosen or derive one for you. We will plant shrubs and trees with sufficient space for the growth potential of the plant. Gaps can be filled with perennials and annuals to ensure you immediately have a full and colourful garden space. We have experience in almost every domestic planting combination.
